This revamp represents the evolution of the brand’s aesthetic, showcasing an acute attention to detail from macro to micro. Every element is meticulously crafted to forge integrity in execution, underscoring the importance of a thoughtful approach to modern retail environments.
While the design retains the classic PEDRO minimal, function-first philosophy, it diverges into a realm of experimental details and natural materials. The exterior of the store features a striking sign band clad in subway tiles, setting the tone for what lies within. Inside, the interplay of materials—particularly the dialogue between stone and steel—creates a harmonious yet dynamic atmosphere. Monolithic stone plinths are utilized to display the season’s signature collections, unveiling its essence as a base to compose an atmosphere that reflects the character of the brand. This approach juxtaposes rough natural forms with polished metallic elements, resulting in a fluid and sculptural presentation.
The space continues to reveal itself inside, and as it does, provides an insight into the brand’s design philosophy. Notably, there is a sensitivity to organic forms and clean lines that continues to inform PEDRO’s own enduring designs. Expressive and precise in their position, the space aims to provide an immersive experience through with careful manipulation of circulation, material and light. A striking feature wall of fluted glass adds a layer of sophistication, diffusing light in a manner that enhances the spatial experience. Extensive use of mirrored surfaces—both frosted and polished—amplifies the store’s openness and creates a sense of depth that enriches the overall visual narrative. Meanwhile, colour is primarily confined to a portion of the space, where a rug adds tactility to a practical matte tile floor and frames plush seating that creates visual interest without overpowering the interior.
