Sustainability Manager
Location: Singapore
Full-Time

About the job

The successful candidate will spearhead the development, implementation and execution of the Company’s sustainability strategy, policies and operations. You will be required to shape and drive strong social and environmental impact-related projects to achieve improvements while providing key metrics for reporting and communications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the group sustainability strategy, including but not limited to roadmaps, goals and targets, code of ethics, and global work processes for the value chain
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, risk, opportunities, and changes
  • Plan and operationalize all sustainability initiatives relating to social contributions and environmental impacts-related topics, collaborating and engaging with necessary internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead in the identification and implementation of international tools, standards and guidelines such as green office/store guidelines, the HIGG Index, the UN Framework on Business and Human Rights, United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, The Green House Gas Protocol, ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility, or similar, which will elevate the Company’s sustainability program
  • Work to improve identified economic, social and environmental impacts in the group’s global value chain
  • Work closely with other relevant departments to ensure the successful adoption of more sustainable practices within the group
  • Track and manage key metrics and KPIs and when needed, work closely with corporate communication to communicate group sustainability achievements
  • Manage local budgets, costs and daily operations schedules
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties or responsibilities assigned


Requirement

  • Degree in Sustainability/ Business Administration/ Business Management/ Fashion Entrepreneurship or related field
  • Preferably with at least 4-5 years’ experience in corporate sustainability and responsibility or similar
  • Good time management skills and the ability in managing multiple priorities are critical
  • Experience working within a matrix organization, captivating internal stakeholders on labour and/or environmental improvements with the ability to influence change
  • A sound understanding of the fashion/retail value chain and it’s challenges
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to make complex topics easy to understand
  • Professional with an ability to represent the brand while engaging with external stakeholders
  • A passion for sustainability-related topics and results driven
  • Experience in policy and document writing and/or reviewing
  • Able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Team Player with positive learning attitude
  • Pleasant disposition with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to multi-task with Excellent organizational skills and meticulous in work assigned
