As the Collection Merchandising Manager responsible for Bags & Accessories, you will lead the creation and development of seasonal merchandising plans to maximize sales and profitability, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision and market trends.
Responsibilities
Market and Competition Analysis
- Conduct market and competitors research to identify new trends and opportunities
- Suggest product line adjustments based on market insights
Collection Planning
- Develop collection plans and product strategies for the four annual collections and various capsules
- Define the product’s positioning, aligning with the brand’s image and strategy
Designers’ Briefs
- Create and convey detailed briefs covering trends and market needs (including design matrix) and addressing current collection opportunities
- Ensure design concepts meet brand goals and technical constraints
- Review and provide feedback on design process
Product Development and Codification
- Collaborate with design, production, and development teams during the various stages of development to ensure timely creation, sampling and deliveries
- Implement collection development calendar and KPIs/monitoring tools to support development follow-up
- Manage the flow of samples and inventory of collections
- Manage product referential and codifications
- Ensure product quality and timely production by working closely with sourcing and production teams
Collection and Showroom Management
- Work with Retail Merchandising and VM teams to prepare showrooms and ensure aesthetic presentation
- Prepares buying tools leading up to showrooms (Masterfile, product guide, buyers’ guide) and maintain product data and Merchandising files throughout buying campaign
Budget and Profitability
- Monitor samples budget and drive optimizations
- Set target prices and define price positioning, incorporating feedback from production and retail merchandising while adhering to the brand’s margin objectives
Retail Learning & Communications
- Provides content (storytelling, design inspirations) to support retail training actions and ensure successful product and collection launches in stores
- Collaborate on marketing selections to reflect the brand’s identity
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in collection merchandising or product management, preferably in luxury, fashion or jewelry
- Strong proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Mandarin is a plus to support communication across diverse markets
- Proficiency in PowerPoint. Prior experience with Photoshop and PLM software is advantageous
- Strong aesthetic sense, creativity, and ability to understand and anticipate trends
- Deep understanding of product quality and innovation with a passion for fashion

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with designers, suppliers, and various stakeholders
