Across our global supply chain, we are advocating for better practices, promote greater transparency, and support systems that empower all stakeholders to thrive.

And it’s a story that’s connected to the world we’re all a part of.

At CHARLES & KEITH Group, we are committed to conducting due diligence in selecting suppliers who not only best suit our manufacturing processes, but also work closely with us to meet our standards and requirements outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct and Restricted Substance List (RSL).

Labour Compliance and management

We expect our suppliers to maintain or implement an annual review process for all policies, procedures and their implementation to ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements and our Code of Conduct. We also believe that every worker within our supply chain must be treated with dignity and respect.

Labour and Human Rights

Child Labour

Our Code of Conduct prohibits the employment of persons under the age of 16 or below the age for completion of compulsory education, whichever is higher.

Suppliers and partners are required to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to young workers, defined as individuals between the legal minimum working age and 18 years old. This includes, but is not limited to regulations on hiring practices, working conditions, permitted types of work, work schedules, proof of age documentation, overtime restrictions, and labour intensity.

Young workers must not engaged in any hazardous tasks, night shifts, or any form of overtime work.

Forced Labour, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

Our Code of Conduct prohibits any form of abusive or illegal labour such as human trafficking or forced labour, including but not limited to prison labour, indentured labour, bonded labour and other forms of coerced labour.

All forms of forced labour, slavery, servitude or trafficking in human beings by suppliers, as well as withholding identity papers or work permits or requiring workers to deposit a bond or the use of any other constraint, are strictly prohibited.

Environmental protection

We recognise the inherent environmental risks associated with manufacturing activities globally. To address this, we have outlined our standards and requirements in our Code of Conduct, guiding our suppliers to minimise their environmental footprint and prevent any negative impacts in their operations.

Environmental & Chemical Performance

Our suppliers are to comply with all applicable environmental laws, rules and regulations from time to time in force, including but not limited to air/greenhouse gas emissions, solid and hazardous waste storage and disposal, energy usage and water consumption and discharge.

The Group also evaluates all suppliers and partners with its Restricted Substances List (RSL).

Resource Management

We collaborate closely with our suppliers to drive continuous improvements in environmental performance across the entire product lifecycle – from the usage of raw materials and components to the production of final products and packaging.

Compliance with the code

In the event that deficiencies or instances of non-compliance are identified, suppliers are expected to take prompt corrective action and commit to making necessary improvements. CHARLES & KEITH Group will work collaboratively with suppliers to resolve identified issues and minimise disruptions to operational processes.

However, if non-compliance persists, we reserve the right to refuse further cooperation until the matter is fully addressed. Continued failure to comply may result in the termination of business relationship.
