TWO WAYS WE CHOSE TO SHOW UP
In May, our teams rallied around World Hunger Day (28 May) with two hands‑on volunteering efforts supporting Willing Hearts in their daily kitchen operations and partnering Rise Against Hunger to pack meals at our headquarters.
Together, these activities turned an idea into action: bringing people together to fight food insecurity, one task and one meal at a time.
Day in the Kitchen: Volunteering with Willing Hearts

On 7 May, a team of 15 colleagues reported to the Willing Hearts soup kitchen at 1 Lorong J Telok Kurau. Roles shifted by the hour meal prep, packing, cleaning, delivery assistance, and even ad‑hoc tasks wherever the need was greatest that afternoon.
The work was humble and practical, and that’s exactly why it mattered: each station we manned helped meals move faster to the people who rely on them.
Assembly Line of Care: Rise Against Hunger @ HQ

A week later on 15 May, our HQ space was transformed into a buzzing meal‑packing line for Rise Against Hunger.
Across two sessions, employees rotated through sealing, weighing, and boxing stations, moving with the rhythm of the music and the goal.
By the end of the day, we had packed 30,000 fortified meals bound for communities facing food insecurity.
Together, these two initiatives turned World Hunger Day into a month of meaningful action. From supporting Willing Hearts’ daily kitchen operations to packing 30,000 fortified meals with Rise Against Hunger, our colleagues showed how collective effort can fight food insecurity on multiple fronts—meeting immediate needs while reinforcing our long-term commitment to community care.
