The Head of Design will be in charge of the creative and conceptual process of footwear and handbag design for the Pedro brand, managing a team of Designers and is required to work closely with the Executive Director.
Job Responsibilities
- Design a small range of seasonal products, overviewing the build up of a good product mix for each shoe and handbag collection.
- Oversee the design process of the team by collectively developing and presenting strong designs and color schemes that are on the fore-front of trends and market demands
- Provide guidance, inspiration and motivation to the design team to facilitate higher performance
- Schedule and assign design projects to team members together with studio manager
- Create and maintain a positive team environment
- Travel to research and acquire market-knowledge, source materials, visit fairs and follow up development in China
- Advance and elevate the product, ensuring quality and value. Stay current with production techniques and product advances
- Process construction and technical knowledge of products and components with regards to design and development
- Study season performance of the collection to plan for future product assortment to increase profitability
- Data driven to understand customer profile, market needs and changing demands in this era of digital landscape
Job Requirements
- Strong design experience in the global landscape in Europe and the US
- 3 years in a managerial position
- Degree in Design or relevant fields
- Analytical and able to understand market demands by analyzing various business reports
- Strong communication and delegation skills with the ability to navigate between creative & business

- Ability to multi task and prioritize

- Fun, vibrant & outgoing personality with positive attitude
