The Head of Copywriting will be responsible for leading the Copywriting team to create high-quality, relevant, and engaging content across all channels. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the creative, marketing, and digital teams to develop and execute messaging strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
Develop and implement a copywriting strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall messaging goals and objectives.
Manage the copywriting team to deliver clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for blog, social media, providing leadership, guidance, and feedback to ensure they produce high-quality, error-free copy that resonates with target audiences.
Responsible in carving the copywriting guidelines, tone of voice, style of writing for all communication touchpoints.
Responsible for ensuring translations are adhere to overall brand copies, tone of voice and guidelines, managing the translation team and translations agencies (if any).
Work closely with the creative and digital teams to develop content that is visually appealing, aligned with brand values, and optimized for digital channels.
Work closely with merchandising and marketing / studio teams for brand and product copies
Manage stakeholders: support ad-hoc copy requests from any departments; work with the creative, PR, UX, CRM and country teams on external communication
Interpret creative briefs and write copy that meet their expectations
Oversee day-to-day admin work for the copy team, such as managing deadlines
Lead competitor research to build a deep understanding of our target audience
Research and incorporate keywords in blog and web copy to optimise SEO
Track and measure the effectiveness of copywriting efforts and adjust strategies as needed to improve performance.
Stay updated with trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform and evolve the copywriting strategy in the fashion industry to produce up-to-date content
Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission, creating clean, concise, well-polished copy, taking due care to govern our brand
Be accountable for the deliverables and performance of the editorial calendar, aligned with our business growth goals, priority segments and integrated marketing plan.
Constantly looking at new technology such as AI to improve copywriting.
Degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communications, or any related field
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a fashion copywriting role, with demonstrated success in developing and executing messaging strategies across multiple channels.
Proven track record of managing a team and delivering high-quality work within tight timelines and budgets.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize task and manage competing primacies.
Team Player with positive learning attitude
Experience in Writing, Research, Copy Editing, SEO, MS Suite
Excellent command of English and one other language
Able to multi-task with excellent organizational skills and meticulous in work assigned
